Landlord Training Program
The Waukegan Police Department is hosting a Landlord Training Program on March 3, 2018 from 9:00am- 5:00pm at NO COST to Landlords who own property within the City of Waukegan. The program provides a practical guide for landlords to keep illegal activities out of your rental property. Some of the topics covered will be:
- Applicant screening
- Eviction process
- Section 8 rules
- Court process
- Neighborhood Watch

LANDLORD FORMS
Federal law requires landlords to provide a Lead-Based Paint Disclosure Form for most residential rental properties built before 1978. The only exception is for apartments without bedrooms (studio or efficiency). In addition to the Disclosure, you must also provide a booklet entitled Protect Your Family From Lead In Your Home.
